Rev. Dr. Frederick Scott, jr.
Senior Pastor
Reverend Dr. Frederick Scott, Jr. is an Information Technology expert by profession and a preacher by passion. He is a seminary graduate, an entrepreneur, and the owner of HighSpeed Technologies, LLC, a technology consulting company. Pastor Scott has attended Philadelphia Biblical University, Palmer Theological Seminary, and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He has earned degrees in Technology and Christian Leadership, a Master of Theological Studies, a Master of Counseling with a focus on Life Coaching, and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Pastor Scott is the author of the inspirational book, Witnessing Without Worry, and developer of the mobile app iGospelShare. In the community, he is remembered as the popular graffiti artist who, as a teen, helped to start the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network. He is a veteran of the United States Army Reserves, a veteran member of Concerned Black Men, Inc., and a graduate of the Urban League Leadership Institute. Presently, he serves as a chaplain for the Philadelphia Police Department. He is a devoted husband to Dr. Tina Scott and a dedicated father to Frederick, Justin, and Trinity. His life scripture is Isaiah 6:8, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” Pastor Fred, as he is sometimes affectionately called, is proud to serve as the senior pastor of Transfiguration Baptist Church, a church located in the neighborhood in which he was raised.

Dr. Tina Scott is a woman of unwavering faith, a dedicated wife, loving mother of three, and a true pillar of strength within her community. As the First Lady of Transfiguration Baptist Church, she has embraced her role with grace, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to serving others. With a background in counseling and coaching, Dr. Tina Scott is not only a spiritual leader but also the CEO of "Dr. Tina Scott & Associates," a coaching, counseling, and consulting practice dedicated to fostering mental wellness. She is the embodiment of hope for those seeking guidance and support in their personal journeys towards inner peace and mental well-being. Within the church, Dr. Tina Scott's leadership extends far beyond her role as the First Lady. She spearheads the Women's Ministry, where she empowers women of all ages to grow in their faith, find their purpose, and build strong, supportive relationships within the church community. Her dedication to nurturing the spiritual growth of women has been instrumental in fostering a sense of sisterhood and empowerment. Additionally, Dr. Tina Scott hosts a powerful weekly prayer line where clinicians and fellow believers come together every Wednesday at 12:30 pm. This sacred gathering is a source of strength and comfort for all who join, as they unite in prayer, offering support and solace to one another in times of need.Dr. Tina Scott is also a published author and a captivating public speaker. Her life verse "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11, ESV)

Pastor Carter has been attending and serving Transfiguration Baptist Church for over 50 years. A pillar in the community, known for a street vending success, Pastor Carter has help to keep the traditional relevant in midst of contemporary.

REV. Wendell Smith
Associate Pastor
Pastor Smith is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University and is an ordained minister of the Gospel. He is a retired Chief of Police officer. Pastor Smith served with the Chesilhurst Police Department in Chesihurst, New Jersey for over twenty-two years. Throughout his career he focused a great deal of his time to mentoring youth both in that community and beyond. Pastor Smith is a man of faith, and has a strong conviction to help others which consistently has been shown by his actions. During the last thirteen years as Chief of Police, Pastor Smith has had a big part in helping innovate the Chesilhurst Police Department in various ways, thus leaving the department more equipped as a result. Pastor Smith works very closely with the youth ministry and normally leads the Call to Worship and the Call to Discipleship each Sunday here at Transfiguration Baptist Church.
